Sales development manager
International market leader
Our client is a well-consolidated Danish company that specialises in technical solutions. It is an international market leader, now intending to further expand its global position. We therefore seek a Sales Development Manager who will be responsible for the company’s commercial development and expansion in relevant markets.
Your most important task is to create commercial business development in new markets, create strong customer relationships and ensure close alliances with partners and stakeholders Globally. You will be commercially responsible for your own customers and will work closely with different teams in connection with international tender processes.
Your most important tasks and responsibilities will be to:
Carry out sales work with an out-going, proactive approach
Build new markets and customers’
Networking with stakeholders
Analyse and identify customers’ needs
Prepare market analyses and sales strategies for relevant markets
Sound out and exchange ideas relating to the drafting of contracts
Collaborate closely with suppliers and partners
The company is based in central Jutland, where you will also be based, and you can expect 60 days of travel a year, traveling in particular to locations in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Global player with sound technical sales experience
Possessing excellent insight into global cultures will be a huge advantage for any applicant applying for this position of Sales Development Manager. You will need this insight in the job, as you travel around the globe, and your daily work will involve close contact with customers, partners, stakeholders and suppliers Globally. It is therefore important that you are fluent in English; able to communicate at a highly technical & commercial level. If you are competent in other languages this will be seen as an extra advantage.
Having a sound technical & Commercial foundation is important. The company sells technical solutions, which you must be able to understand in order to spread the message about them in the best possible way. This means that you already have experience and have a proven track record in selling technical solutions – ideally in the energy sector. You have a technical education as a qualified marine engineer, electronics engineer, low voltage engineer or with a relevant IT related background engineer or similar with additional commercial education. You could also come with a commercial background with a strong knowledge and insight into electronics and technical solutions.
You have an exceptional drive and a smart commercial mindset, which enables you to be impactful and able to lead from the front. You are extremely interested in sales and development and therefore the ideal candidate to be the Sales Development Manager.
In terms of work, you are both proactive and patient, strategic and operational. In other words, the way you tackle a sales task depends on the particular situation. For you, sales is as much about hunting in the market as it is about systematic analysis work. In this way, you create well-thought-out solution proposals and present them in a convincing way.
